Thanks so much Alan. I had been like you, I had just never visited it either for years. It's basically the jumping off point for the Ansel Adams Wilderness, so that's what finally got me there. So then I decided I might as well see if I could come up with some different views of it. I am glad I went.Now I want to visit that place more than ever.... I have never seen a view of the place like that and I like it.
Thanks Ryan for those thoughts. There is no higher view point available, this is it.I'm going to go against the grain here, but I'm not liking the left side of the image. It looks really distorted to me. I think it's the way the pillars are peeling off and falling back, but it comes off to me as distorted. I like the idea of the pano, but I'd also try from a higher viewpoint if there is one.

This is cool! I love the lines in this photo! Very nice pano! Was this one you had to put together like you were saying!A pano from the Devils Post Pile in the Eastern Sierra a few years back.
