Kurt's wonderful images of woodland wildflowers are making me homesick. So I went back to the archives for these two images. There are two species of the genus Dicentra in the woodlands of Illinois. You can see the similarities between the two in these images.

I wish I had photos like these in my archive Doug! Both of these are great. Like Ben I can sure appreciate that tighter more detailed view of #1. But I will say that for myself I really enjoy #2. I think it’s great to see a photo of a flower that’s not as tight of a shot so that we can see the flower in its native habitat. #2 is great because if I get out in similar locations I can now have an idea of what and where to look.

I like the first one as a closeup of the flower with crisp clean details but its the second one that grabs me more for its composition.

I have seen this plant before as those leaves are quite distinctive but I don't recall where and certainly don't recall the blooms.
