Downtown Tacoma

Had an excellent pink sunset on Saturday night which made the mountain glow as I peered over the heart of Tacoma. I love this perspective as it highlights so many of the local landmarks: the bridge of glass, the museum of glass, the Tacoma Art Museum, Union Station, East 21st St. Bridge, the Tacoma Dome, and of course Mt. Rainier. Getting here required a bit of urban exploration – namely, climbing the emergency exit stairwell of the Tacoma Conference Center. Shot with the Nikon D810 and Tamron 70-200mm.

Sweet - I love the twilight skyline of a city like this and Rainier in the background with pastel skies is delightful.

Nicely done. Urban exploration can be an adventure, I used to get parking tickets trying to photograph the Spokane Falls.

Hey Nick, this is a really cool shot! Though it looks like Flickr is having an issue as I don't see the photo now.

I had looked at it earlier and really liked what I saw.
