Dust delete in ACR batch

I have a dust bunny in my 5DSR and air will not clean it. This is a problem for videos. I did some test shots at f4.5, f9 and f22. They all show the spot to some degree when viewed on a grey surface, like fog. I found that I can open a set of files in ACR and select all of them. Then I can use the spot removal tool to fix it. It fixes all of them in the group.

You can? I was curious about that. What menu option is the Spot Removal tool under? And it's called Spot Removal?

When in ACR, its the icon right below the crop tool on the right side, looks like a bandaid.

This has always been there. When you select all the images opened in ACR, any adjustment you make applies to all the images. Its actually not dust delete but spot removal as Jim indicated above.

Yes, I said spot removal in my text, but I tiled it dust removal because that's what we are attempting to do.

Ben, I use a sensor cleaning brush from VisibleDust to clean my sensor, in addition to a blower (I'm now thinking of ordering one of theirs that has filters). Of course I don't use compressed air which has gasses that can leave residue. I was going to point out the batch spot/dust removal in ACR but glad you already found it. When I use it I first select all, then synchronize, in the window that opens make sure to check spot removal and local adjustments.

Jameel, I was cleaning the sensor on my 1DSmk3 with a swab when I heard a click and looked down to see a broken sensor. Cost my insurance company $2100 and then they canceled my insurance.

I use the exact same brush for years now Jim. :)

Of course the moment you change a lens out in the field there always seems to be a huge magnet to pull in all of the dust within 10 miles into your camera....

Hey Jameel, I have been using ACR for years, but just always did my dust removal in Photoshop when I was processing later. So I never looked for it in ACR, I guess I had my own little routine and settings I adjusted and never ventured beyond that. :)

Part of my habit for that probably comes from using Capture NX from Nikon for years to convert my raw images before pulling them into Photoshop. So it never even dawned on me that ACR would have spot removal button.
