Hey, I had to lok for it, for just a second or tow, but thats really cool, and and overall great shot.

Sweet shot Zeph - I like both the crystal clear reflections as well as the clarity of the water. The colored rocks in the foreground and on the lake bottom add a nice element to the scene.

The thing that is interesting to me is that it is not a reflection. The starburst occurs over a rock in the water and the longest rays extend over other rocks. I am thinking that there is an atmospheric effect going on with cooler air at the surface and warmer air above. I am pretty sure about the colder air near the surface because of the steam coming off of the water. Did you see the second starburst in your viewfinder?

I didn’t see the second starburst at the time. The exposure was 0.5s at f/14 using the Canon 16-35, which is known for its ability to capture starbursts with its 9 blade aperture....
