Taken in 2013 and never processed. Just before I closed the colour version I tried it in mono and, for me, it is far superior. I have included some more of the very threatening clouds. Very little processing on this image. Ken

I can't quite make up my mind which I like best. First off they both are really great looking with the light and clouds. I guess I would give a slight nudge to this one, the B&W over the color. But really it's almost a toss up with no clear winner.

Love the B&W, the central light in the clouds and water around the lighthouse really draws the eye in. Wonderful range of tones.

I'm with you Ken, this b&w version is much better in my opinion. The color one is nice too, as the landscape is really beautiful, but due to the thick cloud cover the colors are too lackluster to be of great interest. The b&w, on the other hand, transforms the scene into something truly outstanding. The white lighthouse stands out in a sea of different, interesting greys. The bright water reflections around it along with the break in the clouds offers a really nice contrast with the dark areas. Very nice composition
