Thanks Ben - the iridescence of the leaves and the veins was what really stuck out about the plant when I saw it. This is with almost no edits at all.

Thanks Trent - the plant seemed almost surreal with the wild color accents and hues. It was surrounded by succulents in one of the parks landscaping beds and nothing around it or anywhere else in the park looked even vaguely like this. It held the colors for almost a week before they started shifting their hues. I have seen a lot of "artistic" plug-ins folks use to get results that elevate what Mother Nature gives us to play with but none that would give me something quite like this.
Thanks Beth - overcooked HDR edit is a good description for the appearance of this plant. I almost wanted to check to see if someone had dropped off an artificial plant when I first saw it but the light said shoot this now so I did.
Thanks Kurt - this is one of those occasions where I would love to take credit for a fantastic well planned out shot but it was anything but that. I was just leaving a neighborhood park after flying my drone and spotted this plant in one of the garden beds. I yanked out my iPhone and framed a shot so as to avoid the suburbs all around this and squeezed off a shot. This is only barely edited in LR before resizing it in PS for this post.
