Yep, Dallas Divide can't be beat! Well, maybe it can... but it can't be beat for convienence. I really like this.

I am through there about 6 times a year photographing, and I almost always spend at least 1 night up there photographing. It's so funny, in the fall, the parking lot up there almost isn't big enough to hold all of the cars. But show in January? There won't be a soul there all night long. Dallas Divide I think is beautiful no matter the season, but I might be the only person who thinks that it seems. :)

That trip was my first time shooting in that part of the state. We had an airb&b for 8 days in Ouray and after a few days was kicking myself for not going there sooner. You are right it is hard to beat and we will be going there again and at different times of the year. That parking lot was pretty open during the middle the day, but near sunset parking was almost non-available. I think it would be fun over there during the monsoon cloud weather in August or September. :cool:
