Few Birds, Santa Barbara area

A number of years ago, while visiting my son, we took some bird pics near Santa Barbara. One of these is one of my all-time favorites. Guess which one!!

Wow Michael, that last one is a one in a million shot! You could never repeat that if you wanted too.

Where did you shoot these at in Santa Barbara? I have been there a bunch of times but never seen all of those cool birds.

A Bluebird was hanging around my son’s car and I had my 500/Wimberley trained on it and it then hovered in front of the rear view mirror for a while ... so i clicked off several shots.

Michael, perhaps you mean Farren Road, way out beyond the end of Goleta. I've seen hawks riding the thermals there at eye level with me.
