Finally Got Some Clouds

Our weather did a 180 degree turn from a wet spring last week into a high pressure heat dome with nary a cloud to be seen starting on the day after I got my new drone so sunrises and sunsets have been a complete bust. Until last night. I got a few clouds creeping into view over the Cascades so I made a point of getting up early enough this morning to see if they stuck around. They did so I got treated to a nice sunrise I can share. This is from the 70mm camera system.

Thanks Iain - I have been wanting this focal length for a long time now as something in between 24mm and 162mm. Sessions like this morning confirmed my thoughts on how well this would work for me.

Thanks Jim - me too on the clouds - I hate shooting with naked skies and especially sunrise and sunsets.

Looks nice. I am happy to have missed that heat wave. Here is Alaska it was been a mix of many weather patterns with mostly windy conditions.

Thanks Jameel - you picked a really good time to flee as we are on our third day above 90º today. When I went out to shoot this just before 6:00 this morning it was already 64º with 80% humidity. At least we did get clouds back (and still have some) after Fri-Sunday didn't even have a wisp of a cloud to be seen until last night and the clouds that showed up were coming in from the east while the western sky was still bare.
