Flame of the Earth

That bit of light in Canyon X by Antelope Canyon in Arizona was pretty cool. This one reminds me of a flame.

The airborne dust lights up nicely in the shaft of sunlight. Seems more interesting that the spotlight effect typically captured in Upper Antelope.

Thanks Alan. It’s interesting for sure. If I had to choose one or the other, I think I would pick the beam of light though.

Hey Jim, this looks like the same face in your other image.

Its the same exact spot. I have my camera on a tripod in Canyon X. This is just another toss of sand by the Navajo guide.

Thanks Tim, it was fun to see, and I didn’t really know how it was going to look until I got these loaded on my computer.

I will give a crop a try, but I like the way it balances with the slot. Thanks for the idea.
