Flaming Star Nebula Stars or no Stars?

Processed in Pixinsight using (95) 5 min sub light frames just under 8 hours
I love the images with no stars, but with stars is more astronomical

Nice rendition - lots of detail. The detail does show out more when the stars are removed, but in the end I have found that my preference for a final image is one that almost always includes the stars, unless there are issues with the stars themselves. It is very much a personal preference thing though. Since I also have a preference for taking separate data to use for RGB stars, that gives me an advantage on keeping my stars smaller, and with all the great star reduction scripts and tools out there these days, it is easy to tweak that to taste. So I find the nebulosity can still pop with a nicely colored and controlled starfield included. That's what I did on my recently posted version of this same target.

It's so awesome having you join us. And what great intro's! The Flaming Star is one I have only recently imaged, and I never got as much detail as you got. I like seeing all of this detail.

I like seeing these sometimes without stars. Everyone edits them with stars or adds them back in. But I wish we would see these without stars more often, I have done that a few times, but I need to post my starless images more often too.

I am going to check these out again when I get to my daughters tonight and can setup my laptop as these need to be viewed large!
