I see fall colors - this qualifiesI usually do not schedule photo trips in October and beyond so this is the best I can do.
Thanks. Let me walk back the October comment a tad. That should have been mid-October. I am told that fall colors come to Zion in late October and early November. In my patch of Texas, the trees turn color one day, and the leaves are on the ground the next.I see fall colors - this qualifiesI like this scene with the cottonwoods starting to change. Not sure I have ever been to Zion with full fall colors before. I like the stormy mood to this one.
A great set Jim - that last one is a bit of a surprise with fall leaves on top of the blooms. Interesting combination.A few assorted fall views

Today's Focus will be Fall Colors as a few people lately, (and I am not naming names) though one of the names could be Doug, have been posting some fall color photos and have been starting to get me inspired for that time of year when the weather turns crisp and leaves turn gold, orange and red.
I will post up a fall color shot or two of mine first from my favorite place for fall colors, Colorado.
Jim

Ha! Maybe you should name it "nature calls"?There is an interesting story behind this image, Jim. I was on the mountain across from Mount Wilson near Telluride. I had to pee so I went off of the pathway to find a suitable place where I couldn’t be seen. As I was going through the forest I saw this puddle. The water had frozen over night and captured these leaves in a very artistic pattern. The raindrops on the leaves had frozen too but had melted by the time I got there. So now you know why I was looking down. I was negotiating my way through the forest.
