How interesting Jim. Those conditions produce such unique monotone looks.

The horizon is angled, but it's to such a degree that it feels purposeful. Almost like an echo of the angle of the foreground ridge line?

Thanks for the comments guys. Jim, that's the edge of more frozen ice on the lake, not the horizon. Alan, yes, the whole lake was frozen, but at varying degrees. Of course I've also tried another version of this in B&W and will post it in that forum.

I love the color and texture combinations; it's a beautiful image. My eyes are a little confused by the lines and false horizon, but I find it a very pleasing composition.
