Frozen Dew Drops

Hi All! I had the pleasure meeting Jim on a weekend visit down to Ouray. Our paths crossed at one of my favorite hot springs. I am an amateur photographer who bought a macro lens just before coronavirus hit. It makes simple objects around my house look amazing.

On a warm Colorado day I am dreaming of a cooler spring day. It was shortly after we all started working from home. All the dew froze mid-day with temperatures dropping. I had wet knees, hands and shivers after this. But it was macro heaven.

Thank you in advance for the feedback and support! I look forward to getting to explore all of the art and photos you all share too.

All the Best,
Bri

Welcome to Focal World Bri. A very nice way to introduce your work. I love dew droplet shots and being able to capture them frozen is even better.

Sounds like a good case for wearing waterproof gear while shooting.

Hey Bri!!!

Welcome to FocalWorld! It’s so great to have you join us. :)

I am so glad I ran into you, it’s always awesome to meet fellow photographers even when we aren’t doing photography things.

I really like this image! Good work with the macro lens. Getting water or dew drops on leaves can create such special moments.

I have only 1 suggestion, and that would be to clone out that drop that’s cut off along the upper left edge. Eliminating that half drop would then help provide symmetry with the right side, and allow the eye not to get distracted and pulled away from those grass blades with the drops.
