Good one, and this is a nice example of street photography. You could probably blur the background.

Hard for me to do, but I follow a guy on another forum and sort of get a feel for it. I look for a candid type image that involves urban/suburban settings. It can be indoors.

On the new one, I would darken the white background leaves a bit more.

Okay. . .say I have a photo of an older house taken from the street and one of the windows has an American Flag hanging on the interior of the window. I always think of that one as a "street photo"; what say you?????

Hey Tom, its a good thing her shirt didn't say that Girls Just Wanna have Fun, because with that serious look on her face she isn't having fun or in a fun mood.

I prefer the B&W. Not sure why but I like B&W for most of my street photography. So I really like your B&W version. :)

Hey Tom,

For myself a definition of what is Street Photography is hard to come by as there seems to be no real set rules.

Here is the definition you will see if you look at the description of Street Photography we are using here.

"Candid Photography that features chance encounters and random incidents in public places."

That description I took from Wikipedia to try and figure out just what a common definition is. What it doesn't explicitly say but implies is that Street Photography involves people, so I should get that added to the description.

Which would mean that your photo of a house with a flag in the window would fall under City/Urban scapes.
