The weather here has been terrible with several months worth of rain falling causing widespread floods and misery for the people flooded out of their homes. I live 300ft up so I never worry but day after day of weeping clouds does get you down so wading through older images got me this unprocessed image. My local city, Carlisle came within 1.5" of the River Eden coming over the newly installed flood defences Ken

Wow, this is incredibly picturesque!

I'm sorry about all that rain :( I haven't visited Scotland but on my one brief visit to Ireland one September, I remembered it rained buckets every day for 2 weeks...never been pummeled by rain like that without a break.

But what a gorgeous view when the clouds open! A very lovely photo :)

Beautiful scene Ken - especially with the hints of fall in some of the trees. I like the clearing in the mist for the trees on the small peninsula.

That’s really a ton of water it sounds like you have been getting. Your weather sounds very similar to Alan’s weather up in Washington it gets way more clouds and rain then sunshine.

I sure like this image you posted, so I am glad the rain caused you to look through the archives.

Jim we have had more than a foot of rain rain the last 3 weeks. When we had major floods 14 years ago we had just over a foot of rain in 24 hours. If Washington State is like this I can see why people prefer California and earthquakes, is Oregon a half way house as far as climate is concerned ? Ken

Nice image Ken.

we don’t get a foot of rain in 24 hrs as a norm. The NW rain is more like drizzle. So we have more days when it rains but about as much water as a lot of other places. London is a good comparison for Seattle.

However once in a while we do get heavy downpours that results in rivers overflowing. This January was one of the wettest I have experienced.
