Glen Aulin Yosemite

This is my 5th backpack to this area and there's something new to see ever time. Lots of water this year, strong enough to lift a sturdy footbridge, that crosses the creek to get to the Glen Aulin campsite, off its stone footing and deposit it some 70 ft or so downstream. There was also an abundance of wildflowers this year.

Wow - jaw dropping scenery and some great shots. The colors and light in the first one are particularly attractive for me and the shutter speed is perfect for the rapids.

Very nice images. #2 and #3 are my favorites. Looks like a great place to backpack. Were you able to cross the creek with the bridge washed away?

Hey Tuan,

Thanks for posting these here! :)

I sure miss that area, it's been a couple of years since I backpacked in there.

Not sure which are my favorites, all 3 are great. Really great!

When were you there?

Thanks everyone. Glad you enjoy the set and letting me know your thoughts.

The partially intact bridge deposited itself downstream and the NPS or volunteers fastened a plank of wood going from shore to the bridge to allow people to cross. Thank goodness because that water is numbingly cold. :)

Hi Tuan,

All of these make me already miss summer and backpacking, even though summer only ended 4 days ago. Well done!
