Grand Canyon Glow

Here is one from a few years ago I found as I was searching for my old Totem shots. I found shooting into the sun was really emphasizing the yellow glow.

Interesting effect - I like the layers of ridge lines in the canyon. That is some serious yellow. I do sort of feel like I need to don my sunglasses with that bright sun.

Nice shot that gets me psyched for my upcoming visit. I'd crop a bit tighter into the sun if it were mine.

Thanks you guys. I actually have crops of this and some slightly different compositions. I thought though that I would post the widest view first and see if I was alone in thinking it needed to be tighter.

Beautiful, and I’m with Jim with the tighter crop; those layers would look better if more prominent. Regardless, an excellent capture.

Very unusual view, Jim. I would be interested, too, to see some different crops, emphasising the layer effect and the lovely colour of the sunshine. Almost, but not quite, a portrait view!
