I have always had my best luck the last week of September and have been snowed out the first week of October. But this year I would bet on first week of October

Hey Shibu, I have always gone the last week of September. I would stick with that, I haven't heard anything that would change my thoughts on the normal historical timing.

Are you thinking on going there before coming down to SW Colorado? Will you do 2 separate trips?

Jim, I'm planning to on the 13th, can't change that because my wife is also coming, looks like it's little bit early

I've hit everything from early september to early october. it's basically a game of russian roulette. will you get yellow aspens, wildfires or snow? one year i had all 3.

i've often seen different colors in different parts of the park, so you're almost guaranteed to see some good color somewhere. if not, there are some good back roads in the mountains east of the park where you could find some trees further along.

I'm switching my plans to end of September, Sep 28th to 1st.
