Gros Ventre 3 Ways

Being around the Tetons with my dog, I was looking for areas not in the park. I found this little piece of the Gros Ventre not far from the Kelly warm springs. It was so serene, that it quickly became a favorite place. A week or so earlier & I'm sure it would have been spectacular with autumn colors. It's a wildlife refuge down at the river, while upstream just a few minutes is private property with 2 pools, one with a boat dock.

Then back at one of my favorite camping spots, I caught a nice sunset. It became a 3 dog night, but, alas, I only had 1! Fortunately, I had an extra sleeping bag that I could throw on top of me.

I like the set. I stopped at the same place as your first shot with Jim, Ben, and Rick a couple of years ago. Late September had some good colors in the aspen. I like the view from your camping spot - nice scenery and a tasty sunset to go with it.

Did you also go to the warm springs? Not in them ("brain-eating" bacteria).

Hi Monika,

The leading river in #2 is very well done. Especially with the light coming from behind you up the river. The sunrise is certainly eye catching and steals some of the subtler beauty of #2.

This is really cool Monika! As Alan mentioned this same area grabbed the eye of those of us who had met up in the Tetons a couple of years ago for fall colors. And the sunset colors in #3 are really sweet, I am glad you were able to stay warm.
