Was perusing some old files this afternoon and ran across this portion of a larger image. Something about that colorful little guy among the boulders in the river just caught my eye.

nice! i'm glad you came back to this one and decided to share it. i love the pop of color the flower adds to the rocks and water. nice use of shutter speed too.

While I really like that flower, the shapes and texture of the water is amazing. Also the juxtaposition of dry rock and flower amidst all that water is fun.

I should have added above that this was a 3.2 second exposure, partly for the water, and partly because it was still fairly dark in the bottom of the Kern Canyon at that time of morning.
