I processed this to primarily test out the new BlurXTerminator by Russell Croman. The data isn't enough, the moon was off to left side, barely out of the image, I had a horrible spot of lint on the right side, so it had all the signs of some images to just trash. But I showed it some TLC anyway. :)

I shot this during a short gap between when 1 DSO I was imaging disappeared behind the house and another one I wanted to image would rise above some trees. Besides all of the other issues I listed, it was mainly meant as a test. But I think it turned out well enough to share. And like many of mine lately, it's a starting point of something I hadn't imaged before that I can start with, and hopefully later in the year I can post a new and improved version. :)

20 - Lights @ 120 secs
30 - Flats
10 - Darks
20 - Flat/Darks
Optolong L-Pro Filter

Ha ha, and actually can't spot 2 of the flaws as I had to crop them out... :)

I was able to correct the uneven lighting from the moon and the blob of lint pretty well, maybe 80% corrected, but in the end I just cropped it off. All of this is still learning experiences for me.

With jim's permission I took his image and used Topaz Noise Reduction. This is just an automatic setting, I did nothing else to the shot.. You get several choices and you can bring four up at a time to see the difference. You can also do manual adjustments. This has worked out for me. I usually remove all the stars in pixinsight take it to Topaz do the noise reduction and bring it back to Pixinsight to add the stars back and final processing. It also has masking capabillities to do certain areas. Here is the noise remove from his shot. I hopre this helps out.

Nice result. I use the Topaz suite often. My fav of late is Photo AI which covers aspects of Noise reduction, sharpening and gigapixel all in one app and nearly one button simple.

Hey Chuck, Thanks for adding this here. That sure does help clean it up. I was wondering if normally you would do it without the stars.

I have been using a different noise reduction software in Photoshop for years, but have been hearing good things about Topaz Denoise from a lot of the guys here and thought about getting it, this could be the reason that pushes me over the edge to get it finally.

Nice image Jim. Again way too little data as you have said. Great test though. For noise reduction I now solely use NoiseXterminator.

Thanks Carlos! Yeah, I need to get more for sure.

I paid for BlurXTerminator, and got my Key for it. But there is some kind of Glitch with getting the key for NoiseXterminator, I paid for it, but the Link for the Key isn't working, and requests for a new Key the email is getting lost somewhere it seems. It's not in my Junk or Inbox. Russ replied to me yesterday as I had some initial issues on ordering. I am waiting for him to reply back on this.

@CRTAstro I finally got the NoiseXTerminator Key. But... When I loaded up Pixinsight to install it, Pixinsight says my Temp License has expired.... Ugh... $277 for that. My Astro software has been costing me a fortune the last couple of days.

Russell should be able to sort that out for you if you have paid for it.

I ran NoiseXTerminator on the original posted above (not necessarily the optimal point in the workflow to use it) and got 20 dB noise improvement. It took 10 seconds. IMHO it puts all other astro NR processes out to pasture. Glad to hear you will be taking advantage of it moving forward.
