Horseshoe Sunset

[Kyle Jones]

Sorry I haven't been too active lately - I've been awfully busy at work. Here are a couple of Horseshoe Bend shots from my one sunset there. One trying to catch a sunstar and another after sunset picking up the color in the clouds.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Very nice shots of Horseshoe Kyle. One thing I enjoy about Horseshoe shots is if one can get the out of sight upper clouds reflecting in the water and they do in both. Both are very good, I think I give the nudge to #2.

I like the second one as well. The sun star in the first one is neat but it feels like it overpowers the the river and it's gorge.

Wonderful photography Kyle. I'm with #2 as well, but that's choosing between two great images.

Great images, Kyle. I have heard through the grapevine that they are constructing a wall at the edge of the overlook

Yeah, I heard they are building a viewing area, but as I understand it they won't stop people from going to the sides of it. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Spectacular! Glad to see you're not letting work slow you down.

great shots - tried to go there the other day but another tourist had fallen over the edge and they were recovering the body - I guess this makes the 2nd person in less than a month - too bad that such a beautiful place has seen such tragedy recently

Wow that is sad. It definitely is scary how easy it is to get into a dangerous spot. I know my wife sure didn't like where I was sitting for these.

Nice set Kyle. Second shot for me. I realized I never shot sunset there. All my images are from sunrise.

Great set, but the 2nd is my pick as well.
