Welcome to FocalWorld!!!

This is such awesome work on the Horsehead nebula are! I love it, and it's really inspiring! As I have slowly been upgrading my gear and processing in the last year, this is one I want to be able to capture again this winter.

I like how your Flame nebula isn't just a red Ha color, that's what all of mine in the past have been. I will be coming back to this as a guide when I am able to capture it.

I would still consider myself a newbie Astrophotographer. So I am still at the stage where if I get 2 hours of data I feel good. :)

But as I read and see so many people getting more data, I know I need to start doing that too, and I thought I had read that somewhere around 8 to 10 hours was a sweet spot for the amount of data.

That probably depends on the target. That’s probably a good average. With IC434 there was a huge difference in detail and noise between 5 hours the first night and the second night total of 9.5 hours. The third night helped some but not as much. 14.5 hours was probably the max. ASIAIR+ really made it easy. So another night is no big deal. Using a sub and goto on the AIR was seamless.

Great job on this iconic area of the sky! love the colors and you have tamed the really bright stars very well.
