I always struggle with scenes like these. I like the clouds and the expansive scenery. I struggle with very busy foregrounds. I might have tried to walk a few feet to the right and forward to frame it differently. The clouds have a cyan cast that pulling it back a bit might enhance it.

Hey Kyle, this is pretty cool. Doesn’t it stink when people don’t like a photo as much as we do? I have had that happen on a few of mine, and it’s like I think why can’t these people see how awesome this photo is.

The one thing that struck me, is it seems like the foreground trees blend into the middle ground so that there isn’t a real path visually for the eyes to get from the front of the image to the back. No easy solution comes to mind.

The edit is better. While nice, I wouldn't put this up there with your best. The foreground feels busy like Alan said. I imagine you see those two junipers as framing elements leading into the distant mountain (I can see that), but in my mind the right one esp. feels more like it's blocking my view of the other walls behind.
