Intimate setting at Great Sand Dunes National Preserve

This is an image taken 4 years ago that I have never shared until now. It seems to have grown on me, originally processed and converted to monochrome at that time. I figured I would share it with you all. Canon 5dmk11 and a tamron 24-135/3.5-5.6 lens (meta data says canon version, but that is not correct).

Hard to go wrong with a grove of aspen with nice lighting and a dark backdrop. Very nice contrasts and the B&W suits the scene quite well. I like the soft highlighting of the foremost aspen in the grove.

LOL, yup! This was from a hike my wife and I took up into the Sangre De Cristo Mountains high above the dunes.
