Jims share

I am not able to get out for photos for a while so Jim has shared a number of images that he has taken and for me to process and use as if they were my own.

This is from Valley of Fire. It was an easy image to process. I did this pretty much per Jims formula for this camera, but added my own Topaz steps to it.

Hey Ben,

I sure like what you did here! I sure like your result with this, You handled the clouds really well, which can always be an issue in these types of images. Great job on these.

For those who don't know, I took one of my camera's, my Nikon D810 and have labeled it Ben's camera. So whenever I go out, I am taking Ben with me. :) So anything I capture with that is for Ben until he can get back out again. I trying to take images with it that I didn't take with my D850, so that Ben's set will be different from mine. Not always possible, but that's my intent.

And Ben... you will have some beach sunsets coming your way soon. I don't think you ever got to photograph much at the SoCal beaches I go to, so I have some sunset shots from Huntington Beach, Little Corona and last night I was in Laguna Beach.

Very nice - you handled the contrasts well!

How are you using Topaz these days? I am trying to transition to it for all of my noise reduction and sharpening and I'm not fully satisfied yet.

Kyle, I use Topaz for clarity and DR expansion and a bit of sharpening. I use DXO for NR and lens corrections.
