Jurassic Sunset

I came here to the Jurrasic Coast in Dorset, England, where 188 (or so) million years of Earth History is laid out before you in towering if crumbling cliffs, stunning beaches of uncounted gradations of pebbles and myriads of fossils. One never ending cyclic event is the inexolrtable rise and set of the Sun, immutable if somtimes invisible.

I was here to visit a restaurant I know to celebrate my birthday (thanks for your message Jim!) With a great meal and a decent bottle of wine. On my way I watched the sunset but am only able to upload a mobile 'phone image at the moment.

This is an exciting place to visit if you are in the UK!

The gastro pub where I dined is the West Bay Hotel. My menu was Scallops with black pudding, szechwan (sp) camamari followed by Hake on a bed of samphire in black squid ink risotto - YUMmee!

Always nice to make it through another year - looks like it was a happy occasion Martin. The phone images will have to do 'cuz that's the camera you had along.
