Paintbrush genera are one of the most ubiquitous plants in the U S. There are 157 different species, and they are found in every one of the 48 conterminous states. The range of colors are highly varied as well. Here are a few representatives. Notice the subtle differences in colors of Slickrock Paintbrush alone in the first three images.

Douglas, not only a great collection of flowers, but to know the names is astonishing, I can barely remember family member names.

All the rest of the postings are also very nice. Jameel, as I recall the 990 did have tiff output.

Ken, I focuse stack even in the wind, one will usually be sharper than any of the rest.

Here is one of my roses from my Spokane Garden

Gret looking rose, Ben.

Great contributions, everyone!
Our state flower here in Colorado Aquilegia coerulea, with the also iconic granite boulder in the background, of course. Found along James Creek, or, as the locals say, "Jim Crick"

In 1969 I was working in the Shell Oil Company's Western U S office in the Mile High Building in Denver. A photographer named Art Gore had a photo show in the main lobby and I remember seeing his beautiful images of Columbine. I have loved those flowers ever since.

Are these asters? I keep finding these purple and yellow flowers at high elevations. This was at Donkey Lake, CA.
