Just Flowers Community Thread - 04/17/2022

There re 38 different species of trillium in North America. I'll do some this week and more next week. It is a beautiful plant that provides flowers of a variety of colors, sizes, and shapes. It gets its name from the fact that it has three leaves, three sepals, and three petals. Here are a few from my travels in the US. As usual, you need not post images of the flowers I have posted. Just pile on with your own flower images.

Great White Trilliums sometimes cover the woodland floor as far as you can see.

In Bavaria they only cut the grass once a year to make hay and allow the wild flowers to grow. They claim that they can taste the difference in the milk. Whether this is true or not it does make the fields look nice. The huts are the traditional Alpine hay stores. This image from what will probably be my last long cycling trip. Ken
