Lake Kabetogama Sunset - Voyageurs National Park

We spent a week on Lake Kabetogama at Voyageurs NP this summer. Very beautiful park and we were afforded with some spectacular sunsets. I will post several images over the next week but will start with this one as it is my favorite.

I love the glow of color in the sunset reflection behind the grasses in front. That balances nicely with the sunset colors at the top.

From you moment you told me that you had been to Voyagers NP, my mouth has been salivating! This is such a great looking photo, love the foreground reeds and of course what awesome color! We haven't seen much of Voyagers here at FocalWorld so I definitely look forward to you sharing what you experienced there.

Ben, Alan, Jim and Jim, thank you for the kind words. I wasn't sure what to expect on this trip other than we had not been there, I canoed the boundary waters as a teenager, and I hoped for it to be beautiful. All our wishes came true. Step daughter and grandson also tagged along for this trip. Turns out, they (and son in law, 2 other granddaughters) will most likely be moving to the Upper Penninsula region of Michigan soon so I will be getting numerous opportunities in the region of the country in the foreseeable future.

This winter will be to hit all 3 NP's in Florida so I look forward to hopefully capturing some neat stuff there. Also plan to visit Clyde Butcher's Gallery down in the Everglades for some B&W inspiration.

That’s some great winter plans Jon! I don’t think that we have seen too much posted from down in Florida either, so you will have an eager audience here when you are able to get there.
