Oh yeah, that's awesome Al.

Is there snow in the mountains -- do they keep that road open in winter?

Bart
There is snow in a lot of areas up here right now but the coastal areas of the Olympic Peninsula are usually snow free year round. I have visited the Hoh with snow on the ground several times but it's not a common sight. I can't recall an occasion where US101 in the Olympic Peninsula was ever closed during the 23 years I have lived in the PNW.

I like the crop. Interesting how the light is so localized on the shore rocks and not the sea stack.
Thanks - the clouds were obscuring the sunlight most of the evening except for the brief break where I turned around to capture this. The slice of light was gone about a minute after I got this capture and that was the last of the sun for the day. The main sunset looking west turned out to be a dud.
