Thanks much Ben - up until being able to create my own viewpoint with a drone I have never appreciated what the place looks like with the high elevation snow and late winter atmospherics. The Cape Horn viewpoint cuts off the arc of the river in the foreground.

Thanks Jameel - I wish there were more days like this up there. Happily it's a quick jaunt for me and I am plenty used to getting skunked when things don't work out. The spot I shot this from wouldn't work at all on a day with the east winds blowing. The narrows between Cape Horn and Crown Point can have some of the highest wind gusts in the Gorge.
