Image was recorder with a Amscope microscope on a vintage AMD K-5 Microprocessor (circa 1996).
Partial lapping of the die almost always produces layers of composite layers of vivid colors, geometry and abstract patterns. One can literall spend hours at a time scanning the landscape of a 5 x 5 mm CPU die chip.
