So here is my shot at this image. It's technically excellent and needs very little correction, so this may be a close one. I cropped, did some exposure adjustment and selective sharpening, otherwise I could not think of anything to do.

I would title this morning Joe. With the man having his morning coffee in front of a Starbucks and grabbing some free wifi.

Hey Ben,

This will be different for us in two ways. It gets us out of our Landscape only thinking mindset for a lot of us. And 2nd as you hit upon, John already had taken what's pretty close to a perfect photo.

So my thinking with this, is I will do of course a crop, but this image is going to let me play around with some tools in Photoshop to make the image look different. Perhaps like going High Key with it, or perhaps I will give it a 50's look? So my thoughts are in just what cool ways can people "bend" this photo if you will?

I know Amy has interesting processing tricks that would work well with this one. Let's see what else others have up their sleeves.

Good idea Jim. It will be interesting to see what people can do to make their version stand out from the others

This is an interesting result. I like your crop here too. Looks like an old piece of film strip that has changed with time.

Thanks Ben. I figured if I was going to go with an old look to the processing, that the film strip would add a nice touch.

Somebody (Jim?) had mentioned trying to move out of landscape for this project, and I know what I've already done for this photo but was very curious to see what others would do especially since I'm anything but a street shooter.

This is an interesting image to play with. Went thru a few iterations of different looks. Given the starbucks and laptop, any old look wasn't working well for me. I went with a closer crop trying to bring a look of early morning look of sun shining on the face as he enjoys his cup of coffee engrossed in his online world.

All that said I am not much into street stuff so this is a little out of my league.

Good one Jameel. You have made all the elements clear in this version and I like your crop.

Hey Jameel, thanks so much for Playing with this as I know for lot's of us shooting Street photography is not something we normally do much of. Though I have started to do more of it, I am surrounded by 100 miles of streets here in SoCal, so I have been dabbling more into it.

Here's my fresh edit, I felt the simplicity of the image called for a B&W conversion. Along the way I cleaned up a few distractions including a very slight crop to get rid of some clutter from the architecture along the edges of the frame, a few bright spots catching my eye on the concrete, and darkened the windows to reduce some distractions on the interior of the coffee shop. Oh, also cloned in some grass to cover what looks like some sort of irrigation box cover. My original edit took out some of the window clutter including the starbucks logo but I lost some detail on the gentleman's suit jacket.
