Here is a file provided by Kyle. Just click on the lets play and it will take you to a page with a download. This is in dng format so it's a real raw file that has only been downsized. It can be opened in LR or ACR as you would a normal raw.

Download the dng file here: Lets Play 4-21-2018 -

Show us what you can do with it.

Here is a jpg of the original, but be sure to go download the dng for a much better file to work with.

Both are nice. Ben's looks more like the direction I've gone with my other shots from that evening, with the bluer tones and darker shadows. I like seeing Jim's warmth and extra detail. I'm working on a version now.

Nice Jameel, and thanks for joining us here. I have an insight, a nice image like this gets more attention.

While I worked on my initial edit of this Let's Play, I felt like I wanted to try it in B&W. So here is my effort in B&W including a small crop.
I like the contrasty B&W treatment.

Wow, spectacular place and scene! Having never been there my effort was to present what I would expect to be a natural exposure for that time of day. Oh yeah, I did take a few liberties and zapped the yellow sign and observation platform.
I'm glad someone else took those out! I did too. Here's my take..

Thanks for that Jameel, what do you think we could do beter to get this forum some traction?
Well the forum is named “Critique of Photos”. This would necessitate people submitting their images for critique. While the “let’s play” series is very interesting in seeing how the same image is treated by different folks, it’s not really critique. Perhaps this can be turned into a contest on the lines of weekly contest which also could do with more activity.

Just thinking out aloud.

This is a carry over from another critique forum where we usually allowed people to rework our images to show their points. But I like your thinking here. And we have had a poll in the past to find the favorite rework, and will do so here at the end of teh week.
