As I am going finally through my 1st quarter Hard Drive from 2021, I came across a series of photos I had taken for a timelapse but hadn't assembled yet, so I just completed that.

Jim, nicely done. Have you considered using ND filters for the seascape timelapse ? When the wind is stronger than 2 BWS, the waves have a flicker effect, 3 stop ND filters make the waves calmer.

Thanks so much Oliver.

This is one of my first Timelapses at the beach, for me the issue is the 3 sec interval. The water moves too much in 3 secs, so parts of the wave splash get missed. If I remember right, since I was shooting in Raw, my buffer was an issue if the interval got too much shorter? I probably need to get it down to .25 or .5 of a sec intervals to get the Timelapse look but still not miss too much of the wave splash. Not sure.

When I get back to California next month, I hope to do it again but probably in video, and then I will speed it up and make it more into a Hyperlapse.

Thanks for the idea, I have a second part to this Timelapse when it was darker after the sunset, so the shutter speed of the camera did get longer, much as it would with an ND filter. I will post that tonight.

I was a bit surprised at how calm those waters seem. Nice moments of color during the sunset.
Yeah, the 3 second interval skips over a lot of water flow I found. So I am looking forward trying it again but maybe in a video.
