Little Yosemite Falls

I often go hiking in the nearby Sunol Regional Wilderness. The park has an area known as "Little Yosemite", I presume due to the rocks and cascades in Alameda Creek. I photograph this spot often, and have yet to come home with the image I've visualized. I'm getting closer though. I have a good idea where to stand, now I need the right amount of water and some nice light.

In the meantime, here is today's attempt. The predicted sunrise colors never appeared so I composed to eliminate the sky. Any thoughts are welcome.

If this is your lemonade shot it sure looks like a nice glass of it to me. I love the view into the water down at the bottom as an anchor and the neat backlighting on the trees at the top.

I can't wait t see what your nirvana shot of this place is going to look like

That is a very cool place Kyle. I like the look and feel of that place. Those rocks are kind of cool. What bothers my eyes a bit is that pour off on the left side, it feels cut off and incomplete. The rest of the shot I like.

I could cut off some of the top and extend more below and left. This is a place with lots of potential, I like it, but can see how I might like it better. Good job and I look forward to seeing more.

I like it as is, and wouldn't crop off the top, but would like to see more water at the bottom. The contrast with blue rock makes it for me so I wonder if more of it would be nice.
