Longest prominence on the sun I have recorded

This morning I got set up in time to capture this crazy long prominence. This was the longet prominence I've ever protographed. You can see how small the earth looks. By the time I was done with the session the long prominence disappeared.

That's amazing Chuck! It's mind boggling how large it is. Even with the earth for scale, I think it's too much to comprehend. But I can comprehend that this is a really great image!

Wow - that is jaw dropping! Guessing maybe at least some of that material was being ejected into space? The scale of that thing is something else. What a fun capture! Great work!
