Look at that purple!

This is from the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve area. I found a spot with just a carpet of purple with those Owl's Clover (?) in the foreground.

I was telling Doug today that with what looked like a Superbloom going on to me, I have enough photos from out there since every angle was a keeper, that I could post Poppies every day for a year and not run out.

This is gorgeous Jim, I used to go out there before it was a reserve and remember a few years with fantastic blooms. Would be in the 60's

Those had to have been the days Ben! It's still really awesome, and it's great that the Preserve only contains some of the poppies, though it does have some of the best hills inside the Preserve.

That is incredible, Jim. Absolutely beautiful. The bloom is at least as good as last year if not better. Even though I can't be there, at least I can enjoy this vicariously. Keep them comiing.

Thanks so much Doug. It was truly Super Bloom, maybe even better then last year from what I see. Certainly equal to last year.

Thank you Tuan. It wasn't too crowded, the Preserve is closed so everyone is out on the surrounding hills, but for the most part everyone is spread out, I have been there 3 times in the last week, and of course the weekend was the worse. During the week isn't as bad, and of course if you have a vehicle that can negotiate some dirt roads, you can get back where you won't hardly see anyone. Most people are parked along the side of the road and just venture into the flowers a bit.
