M101 & NGC4565

My camera died at the beginning of galaxy season and I pretty much missed the whole thing! But I did get it back just in time to catch a couple of galaxies before the dark nights disappear completely.

Was hoping for the sombrero this year but it’s too low for me 😞

I am so glad you got your camera in back to catch some Galaxies! I love your Pinwheel, M101. Great detail in that, and seeing as I just captured it the last 2 nights, I will be using your M101 as a visual reference as to how mine should be looking.

As for your NGC4565, I am not sure if I have seen that captured before. I love how you handled it. I think those side views are the hardest to get right!

We have been missing your Astro, so I am really glad you got your camera back!

Thanks guys, feels good to be back in the game! I feel I’m getting a little better at processing galaxies. Still lots to learn though!

danny,

These are excellent - M101 has nice color and detail with colorful stars, and 4565 is showing subtle details in the dust lane, nicely done!

Nice recovery and so e very sweet astro images to show for your perseverance. Really especially like the NGC4565 image - nice color and the detail in the edge on dust lane is impressive.
