Maiden Post - Monument Valley

Nice first post - I'd be happy to walk away from Monument Valley with these.

The foreground seems a touch dark in the first one but the view and the skies are dramatic. The second one has a much different feel to it but a very pleasant scene to gaze into. That's a sunset I'd like to sit back and watch.

@AlanLichty So true. I ended up enjoying the view more than actually photographing. There were just two of us for how far eyes can see. Experience worth living for....

I intentionally kept the FG a bit dark in first one. My idea was to keep it as anchor and lead viewer to that beautiful sky.

These are both very nice. I am partial to the 2nd, for the beautifully soft light throughout the scene and the incredible depth in the view.

Hey Irfan,

Well this is a wonderful intro post to the forum! It's really awesome having you here.

Both are really nice views from Hunts Mesa. Having been up there, I can attest there is just so much for the eyes to take in, it really becomes a visual overload. My favorite is #2, though I would crop just a bit off the bottom to lose that part circle along the middle of the bottom edge. #1 does have some cool clouds.

Very different than I expected from Monument Valley. Very nice, I especially like the light in the second. Welcome to the board!

Both are beautiful. Maybe move the watermark to the left side in the first photo so that the tree isn't blocked?

Very nice first post. I am liking both of these and not the usual MV scene, the second is my favorite.

I think the light is just fine. The first one is quite the wide angle and prevents there being any one prime subject, therefore becoming 'busy'. Throw on a 70-200 and the opportunities and comps really start showing up.
