They are nice - we have 4 feeders out right now with at least a dozen Anna's trying to defend their favorite feeder. They stay up here year round as well. They are highly territorial and I often see the males perched near the feeders ready to chase off others that try to approach. The aerial acrobatics that ensue when another male tries to come in to feed are simply mind boggling.

Thanks, Ben. I used a 500 mm lens with a 1.4 extender for a total of 700mm and I wasn't more than forty feet away.

Thanks, Alan. These guys ae pretty territorial but Rufous hummingbirds are even worse. Sometimes you can even hear the body blows
