Beautiful! That's the kind of shot that you can only hope for when making a trip there from somewhere else but you can see the conditions coming when you live in the area. Highly printworthy.

I already told you, but it's so nice. I'll repeat it.. this one is beautiful. The colors and the comp are extremely calming.
Great Job, Kyle.. are you living in that area now? I thought you were on the west coast?

We bought a place in Kalispell last October. I figured if I'm working from home it might as well be somewhere nice!

I doubt anyone will notice, but this is actually a different image than the one I posted on FB. This one was a little earlier, before the full color hit the clouds and with a little more light on the mountains still.

Just awesome Kyle! Love the reflection!

I am driving to New Mexico, when I stop tonight this one is getting Featured!

This is okay but it would have ben better if you had gotten the colorful foreground rocks in glowing in the image too. ;) Just kidding of course. Beautiful effort in every way, Kyle. Oh yes, enjoy your "spell" in Kalispell. It is one of my favorite towns in Montana.

Wow, not only a fantastic image and a VERY worthy Daily Featured Photo but news coverage too - totally awesome! Love the pastels in this one and the wonderful conditions you managed to predict and then capture. It does deserve a place on a wall somewhere I'm thinkin'. :)

Beautiful shot Kyle, and congrats for the featured image! :) If I may, could I ask you if you tried a panoramic crop of this? When I saw it, I immediately thought that 16:9 (or perhaps even 2:1) would make the image even stronger. Just my .02 of course :) Best regards,

Vieri

Thank you for the thoughts Vieri. I do have a 16x9 that I have been using on my desktop and I do like how that looks. I'll give a 2:1 a try too.
