Nice image and the color is fine with me. The only thing I would like to see is the entire arch....a little of the top is cut off.
I really like this as it is. I think most people know arches...
Thanks Eric, your right, showing up will get you something. I find sun flares fascinating and how each lens an be a bit different.I've photographed Mesa Arch more times then I can remember. Not sure you can make a 'bad' image of the arch. Even though you don't see much of the arch you used it well to frame mid-ground. Also, you did a good job to control the flare of the sun. Not over done. I say good job!
Thanks Ben - I was there for over an hour, I'll see what I have for a wider view. Yes, the red needs darkening.I like what you did here. I generally try for a full arch which considering the people requires being in the middle with an 11 mm lens. But there is nothing wrong with this view either.
I don't expect much detail past the washer women, and you handled the flare very well. I might take just a tad of red out of it.
You could go for a 16x9 aspect ratio, off the bottom, but this is also fine with me.
Yeah cropping would be an option but I do like how the vignetting helps lead the eye, darkening the corners might help make it a stronger image. Thanks for commenting.I like your take on this one Zeph! I grabbed a piece of paper and held it up to the screen to see how various crops would work. I like how it is, but i think if you cropped out half the foreground (kind of like a pano), it would work well also. I kind of like the "vignetting" feel to the foreground though....
