Mid October in the Garden

Fall in the Pacific NW comes a bit later than places at higher elevation and colder temperatures. We typically are just getting started for fall color right about mid October and I decided to try to match today's date with an archive shot from the Portland Japanese Garden from 2009 on October 18th. This was a nice colorful scene but was eclipsed by the color shows I got on the following Sundays and never got processed. Taken from the Moonbridge looking downstream.

cool little stream with the rock and reflections. love the bright yellow and dark purple leaves, too.
Thanks - this viewpoint was always one of my stopping points in this garden and never left me disappointed no matter the season.

Maybe I need to drive there!

Nice one Alan.
Thanks Jim - last week of October and the first week of November are our usual peak for colors. The Japanese Garden has a lot more color than our conifer forests although there is more diversity in the forests.
