Here are three more minerals from my collection. Sorry for the late post. I was down in Phoenix with my grandkids today.

Apatite and Calcite

Intertwined Pyrite Cubes

Adamite (yellowish green), Calcite (white), and Limonite (brown).

I love the combinations of colors in the first and last images but the pyrite are quite fascinating and keep hogging my attention.

This is called a pyrite penetration twin. These are common on the Isle of Elba on the Tuscany coast of Italy and in Spain.

They aren't uncommon but they only come from two places in the world: Spain and the Island of Elba.

Crystal twins grow on specific crystallization planes, so the penetration twin grows at the same time as the enclosing crystal but in a different orientation.
