Misty field

This is a different edit of the same tree photo I posted in Landscape recently but which I thought also looked nice like this with a pulled-back crop to show the layers of mist in the field. In B&W the rays falling next to the tree jump to the eye more readily as well. Actually I guess these "rays" are created by shadow instead of sunlight, or the absence of sun... shadowrays?

Ha ha, ShadeRays!!! I like it. This B&W version really looks sweet as it focuses the eye to look more upon the shapes in the absence of color. Great job!

Thanks! Good point, B&W is good if you want to emphasize shape and form...quite a different experience for the eye than a color version.

Thanks. Indeed, it's amazing how many different images it is possible to create out of just one photo. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by possibilities

I think you might get even more out of this one by adjusting your black point and building some deeper blacks throughout the image.
