At Pete's suggestion I decided to try reworking this image a bit and made more use of the captured light and added a bit more contrast:

To add some context for the image this is what Latourell Falls looks like using a focal length of 45mm from the same vantage point for the Misty Gardens image:

The Misty Gardens scene is just to the right of the falls towards the bottom and was captured using a 800mm focal length.
